Travelling in the United Arab Emirates

Dubai's skyline and beaches, Abu Dhabi's Grand Mosque and museums, the desert, and quieter mountains and coast in the northern emirates.

The United Arab Emirates had an estimated 30 million international visitors in 2024. Most stay in Dubai and add a day or two in Abu Dhabi, about 90 minutes away by road. Distances are short, and the winter months are by far the most comfortable time to visit. The Grand Mosque now charges visitors a small fee.
