Theme parks worth the trip

Not every park, just the few that people cross oceans for, with current ticket prices, the best days to go and how to get there.

A great theme park can be the whole reason for a trip, or the best day of one. We cover only the parks that are worth planning around, and we check their prices the same way we check everything else on UniverseTrips.

Before you buy a ticket

  • Prices change by dateThe big parks now charge more on weekends and in school holidays. The same ticket can cost far less on a weekday in the quiet season.
  • Buy ahead, from a trusted sellerGate prices are usually the highest, and popular days can sell out. Buy from the park itself or a trusted partner.
  • Arrive before openingThe first hour is the quietest. Head straight for the most popular ride, then work your way back.
  • Check height limitsThe best rides often have minimum heights. Check them before you promise anything to the children.
